Millcroft Inn Artworks
In partnership with the Millcroft Inn, Headwaters Arts members can apply and be selected to hang their art here in the Headwaters Restaurant for a two month period.
The artwork is for sale and when you purchase art here, you are not only supporting a local artist, part of the proceeds goes to supporting Headwaters Arts, a local not-for-profit organization supporting local emerging and established artists in the Headwaters region.
Many thanks to the Millcroft Inn for graciously providing the opportunity for artist members of Headwaters Arts to display their art in the Headwaters Restaurant.

Wanderlust – Embracing the Beauty Within
Presented by the Mother-Daughter team, MaryLou and Samantha Hurley
Artist Statement – Samantha Hurley
‘What We’re Made Of’ is a series exploring identity, inheritance, what sustains us, and the landscapes that shape us. I am Samantha Hurley, a professional photographer whose practice bridges fine art and commercial work. In this series I want to show you what it feels like to crave, indulge in, and be satiated by nature.
Through this work, I want to challenge you to consider what truly forms the essence of who we are. It is an invitation to reflect on our connections to the land, culture, and the stories we inherit.
**All of my work is printed as a one-of-one. No other print of each piece will ever be made. The photo you’re standing in front of is, and will always be, the only one to ever exist.**
Artist Statement – MaryLou Hurley
MaryLou Hurley, (yes, mother of Samantha Hurley!) resides in Caledon East where she can be found in her gallery home studio, happily breaking glass and smashing dishes; creating award winning mosaic art.
“For over 25 years, I have been challenged and fascinated by the world of mixed media mosaics. It has enabled me to capture special moments, many highlighted by the use of repurposed items including shells, vintage dishes and the sparkle of glass and costume jewellery.
It is my hope you will discover joy in my art and a reverence for nature, combined with an original perspective and colourful imagination! This all makes for a magical collection of nature scenes as “I embrace the beauty within”.
Artist Statement – Alina Lloyd
Alina Lloyd is a Canadian painter, whose work captures the quiet poetry of the natural world. Her paintings of fields, trees and flowers reflect a deep sensitivity to colour, light and atmosphere, offering glimpses of nature’s enduring presence and grace.
Through my work, I seek to express the emotional pulse of the landscapes and blooms that surround us– not just how they appear, but how they make us feel. Each brushstroke is a meditation on connection, resilience and wonder. My hope is that these paintings invite you to slow down, to see the world anew, and to embrace the beauty within.

We acknowledge that the land on which we gather, and on which the Region of Peel operates, is part of the Treaty Lands and Territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit. For thousands of years, Indigenous peoples inhabited and cared for this land. In particular we acknowledge the territory of the Ani-shinabek, Huron-Wendat, Haudenosaunee and Ojibway/Chippewa peoples; the land that is home to the Metis; and most recently, the territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation who are direct descendants of the Mississaugas of the Credit.
We are grateful to have the opportunity to work on this land, and by doing so, give our respect to its first inhabitants.
