Headwaters Arts presents “Tapestry of Art and Music”, a FREE, musically themed, art show & sale fundraising event on Saturday, May 27th, 2023 from 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm at the Alton Mill Arts Centre. The afternoon festivities are all happening in the outdoor arts space, under the tented roof over the Annex featuring a performance by the Achill Choral Society and the unveiling of a Mosaic Tapestry, showcasing a wall of 6” x 6” canvas masterpieces created by Ontario artists, all for sale/purchase at $40 each or 2 for $75. Enjoy some local refreshments and the Society’s inspirational voices/music while you browse and buy! Participate in a FREE raffle to win an original work of art from the Mosaic Tapestry!
Says Nancy Kluger, Chair of the Events Committee for Headwaters Arts, “When we reached out to artists across Ontario to offer them a free canvas and ask them to donate their time and talent to create works in support of our organization, the response was overwhelming and we are just so grateful for their generosity and for all to see this beautiful tapestry wall of art work”.
All proceeds from the sale of art works supports Headwaters Arts. The not-for-profit organization’s goal is to stay resilient, and continue to grow their year-round Headwaters Arts Gallery programming/operations/ shows, publish the first ever, Headwaters Arts member’ directory, increase membership and offer new opportunities for member/local/regional artists.
