Freida Pereira

Frieda’s work is propelled by a sense of rhythm and fresedom in making. She likes the feel of the soft clay in her hands and wants her work to reflect that. A graduate from the Ceramics Program at Sheridan College, she rekindled her passion for working with clay in 2013. Says Frieda, “My work is inspired by elements of nature”. Inspiration for forms, textures and concepts come from her childhood experiences growing up in Uganda.

Hildegarde Sausik

Growing up, Hildegarde  wanted to be an artist and fashion and textile designer and she was blessed with becoming both. Painting flowers in watercolour allows her to see with different eyes the beauty, clarity, and spontaneity of colours merging with one another. The transparency and luminous quality and fluidity of watercolour gives the flowers a sensuousness and sense of romance. “Life is wonderful if you follow your passion and creativity and the world of nature and wildlife has always been my natural instinct.”, says Hildie, who works in both watercolour and textiles.

Marnie Cooke

Marnie Cooke is an abstract, acrylic painter who hails from Mono, Ontario. She had a rewarding career as a dancer, choreographer, and teacher with many major companies here in Canada and abroad. Says Marnie, “ As a painter, my background, in dance and music interpretation has opened a new world of
artistic experiences. Colour, line, shape, and form guides my brush. Music evokes direction and meaning to my paintings”.
