Millcroft Inn Artworks

In partnership with the Millcroft Inn, Headwaters Arts members can apply and be selected to hang their art here in the Headwaters Restaurant for a two month period.

The artwork is for sale and when you purchase art here, you are not only supporting a local artist, part of the proceeds goes to supporting Headwaters Arts, a local not-for-profit organization supporting local emerging and established artists in the Headwaters region.

Many thanks to the Millcroft Inn for graciously providing the opportunity for artist members of Headwaters Arts to display their art in the Headwaters Restaurant.

The Sacred Migration

Running from August 4th through October 5th, 2026, the Headwaters Restaurant will feature the art of award-winning contemporary artist Lynda Moffat.

The exclusive exhibition serves as the formal graduation debut of Moffatt’s rigorous, two-year fine art Master’s program portfolio with the Milan Art Institute.

The Sacred Migration features a comprehensive gallery curation of two distinct collections executed concurrently in the artist’s studio: ‘Wings of Soul’ and ‘Feathers from Heaven’.

Moffatt’s signature style—Atmospheric Contemporary Realism with Art Nouveau Elegance—investigates the profound human journey of resilience, endurance, and hope told through the majestic lens of Canadian wildlife. By meticulously layering premium oil pigments and raw charcoal over a luminous gold underpainting, each canvas captures a dramatic, lit-from-within glow that responds to the changing natural light of the room.

The Literary Provenance:
In a rare integration of literature and fine art, Moffatt has composed a private companion poem for every original masterwork. These verses remain entirely unpublished, acting as an exclusive narrative link between the artist, the linen, and the final patron.

Dufferin Country

We acknowledge that the land on which we gather, and on which the Region of Peel operates, is part of the Treaty Lands and Territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit. For thousands of years, Indigenous peoples inhabited and cared for this land. In particular we acknowledge the territory of the Ani-shinabek, Huron-Wendat, Haudenosaunee and Ojibway/Chippewa peoples; the land that is home to the Metis; and most recently, the territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation who are direct descendants of the Mississaugas of the Credit.

We are grateful to have the opportunity to work on this land, and by doing so, give our respect to its first inhabitants.
