Membership

Headwaters Arts was formed in 2008, joining the artists in the Region and the Headwaters Arts Festival. Headwaters Arts is a not-for-profit volunteer based organization that brings together artists and supporters to promote the development, appreciation, and enjoyment of all of the arts in the Hills of Headwaters. We seek to provide artists with greater exposure, recognition, sales, networking opportunities and professional development.

Membership is open to any individual who is interested in the arts. We will keep you informed about what’s happening with the arts and artists in our community. You’ll receive our regular e-newsletters and invitations to special events.

Plus, with your membership, you’ll be demonstrating your support of the arts. Your voice joins others to show that you care about the arts.

Do you need to live or work in the Headwaters area to be part of our organization?

We welcome all artists and arts supporters who wish to promote the arts and participate in the organization.

We acknowledge that the land on which we gather, and on which the Region of Peel operates, is part of the Treaty Lands and Territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit. For thousands of years, Indigenous peoples inhabited and cared for this land. In particular we acknowledge the territory of the Ani-shinabek, Huron-Wendat, Haudenosaunee and Ojibway/Chippewa peoples; the land that is home to the Metis; and most recently, the territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation who are direct descendants of the Mississaugas of the Credit.

We are grateful to have the opportunity to work on this land, and by doing so, give our respect to its first inhabitants.
