Greeting Card Policy

Headwaters Arts maintains a greeting card rack in the gallery and members are welcome to sell their greeting cards provided that the card rack is not currently full and artists  adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Maximum size of a card i.e., 5 x 7
  • Max of 10 cards per artist
  • Must be enclosed in a professional cellophane sleeve with an envelope
  • Artists may also create cellophane packets of several cards for one price with each card having an envelope
  • Minimum price is now $8.00 (to cover administrative costs)
  • Each card must clearly display a label with the artist name and price or they will not be accepted on take-in (a professional label with artist name/business card included with the card is recommended)
  • Accurate list of submitted inventory from artist
  • You must bring your cards in on a Wednesday or Thursday when the Gallery Coordinator is in (and set a time before hand). This will ensure you are set up in the system and we can sell your cards.
  • We recommend that artists indicate on the label if it is original art (as opposed to a print)

We acknowledge that the land on which we gather, and on which the Region of Peel operates, is part of the Treaty Lands and Territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit. For thousands of years, Indigenous peoples inhabited and cared for this land. In particular we acknowledge the territory of the Ani-shinabek, Huron-Wendat, Haudenosaunee and Ojibway/Chippewa peoples; the land that is home to the Metis; and most recently, the territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation who are direct descendants of the Mississaugas of the Credit.

We are grateful to have the opportunity to work on this land, and by doing so, give our respect to its first inhabitants.
