2025 Millcroft Inn & Spa’s Headwaters Restaurant: Call for Submission

Deadline to Apply: November 20, 2024

Calling all Headwaters Arts members to submit an application for 20 pieces of two-dimensional art to be shown at the prestigious Millcroft Inn’s  Headwaters Restaurant for a 2-month period. This can be a solo or group show. The time slots available are:

February 3 – April 7, 2025

April 7 – June 2, 2025

June 2 – Aug. 5, 2025

August 5- October 6, 2025

October 6 – December  1, 2025

December 1 – February  2, 2026

By arrangement with Headwaters Arts, a body of 20 pieces of cohesive artwork, complimentary with the heritage nature of the Millcroft Inn, hangs in the main dining room for two months. The commission of 35% on sales to Headwaters Arts remains the same.

Contact Margi Taylor, Millcroft Inn coordinator, at margi@altonmill.ca with any questions.     The work is lightly juried keeping in mind the following; eleven (11) larger pieces and nine (9) smaller works, a minimum size of 16×20 inches, are needed; pure non-objective abstracts are not suitable; and the lighting is dimmer than in a gallery so brighter works show better.

To be considered, please read the application guidelines at the link below.

We acknowledge that the land on which we gather, and on which the Region of Peel operates, is part of the Treaty Lands and Territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit. For thousands of years, Indigenous peoples inhabited and cared for this land. In particular we acknowledge the territory of the Ani-shinabek, Huron-Wendat, Haudenosaunee and Ojibway/Chippewa peoples; the land that is home to the Metis; and most recently, the territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation who are direct descendants of the Mississaugas of the Credit.

We are grateful to have the opportunity to work on this land, and by doing so, give our respect to its first inhabitants.
